Police detained four attackers for assaulting a man who was secretly taking photos of a woman in a public toilet. The man was fined for his behavior. 

On July 27, a woman was using the toilet inside a barbecue restaurant in Weinan, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, when she found out a man, surnamed Tan, was taking photos of her. 

Instead of calling the police, the woman notified her four male companions.

Being drunk, they beat Tan up after a short-lived argument, leaving him with mild wounds. 

The police came to the restaurant and asked Tan to deleted all the photos he had taken of the woman.

"The four men were arrested in violation of China's punishments in public order and security administration law," said the local police.

"Since Tan didn't spread the photos to other people, he was only given an administrative fine."

"Secretly taking photos is bad, but we issued all the penalties according to law," added local sergeant, surnamed Wang.
