China's top art museum is hosting a new exhibition that pays tribute to the country's rapid development and great achievements in the field of science and technology. The exhibition at the National Art Museum of China, which kicked off on Monday, is an important part of the museum's Activation of Classic Collections series, which aims to give people more access to top artworks.

More than 100 artworks from the museum's vast collection depicting important figures, historical moments and great achievements are on display.

Wu Weishan, the museum's president, said he hopes visitors can learn more about the hardships and difficulties that China's engineers and working staff have undergone to serve and develop the country.

The exhibition ends on September 6.
