Six minors arrested for robbing Xiaomi smartphone store in E China's Fujian

Six minors who robbed a Xiaomi phone store have been arrested with all merchandise recovered, according to an announcement released by police in Xiamen, East China's Fujian Province on Tuesday.

A Xiaomi store in Xiamen was robbed Monday night, a number of mobile phones and tablets were reported as missing. After full investigation, the police quickly caught the six robbers in Ningde of Fujian, finding all stolen goods including 25 cell phones, two tablets and two laptops.

The police said the six perpetrators including five boys and one girl, all underage, had dropped out of school. They came to Xiamen on August 27 and looted the store three days later. They fled back to Ningde after committing the crime.

Xiaomi did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Xiamen police are following up with criminal charges.
