The prices of Apple’s iPhone 12 series, which support 5G, have plunged ahead of the debut of iPhone 13 expected in September. Mobile phone vendors in South China’s Shenzhen said they recommend customers buy iPhone 12 at the current low prices.

Apple usually debut its latest iPhone lineup in September. The current prices of used and new iPhone 12 series products plummeted at multiple vendors in Shenzhen’s electronics market Huaqiangbei.

An iPhone vendor who has its own channel to obtain new units told the Global Times on Sunday that barely used iPhone 12 with 128-gigabyte hard drive capacity in his store is selling at 4,950 yuan, and the new iPhone 12 with same configuration is selling at 6,000 yuan.

The same model is selling at 6,799 yuan in the official Apple chain stores in China.

Another vendor said the current prices of used or new iPhone 12 series are nearing the lowest level and it has proved to be a good bargain. “In my opinion, the price of iPhone 12 series may fall three months later after the debut of the new generation of iPhone,” said the vendor.

According to media reports, iPhone 13 is expected to make its debut in the middle of September with a lineup of four new phone sets with different configurations.
