From the ocean to the land, the latest works by Chinese designer Xiong Ying are paying tribute to Mother Nature and life. The Qian Kun & Fang Yi show Heaven Gaia raised the curtain of one of China's top fashion events, China International Fashion Week for 2022 spring and summer, in Beijing on Friday.

The 18 collections, a total of 90 high haute outfits, debuted across four sections that focused on China's vast landscape and long-lived traditional culture. Xiong's collections were not only inspired by China's traditional paintings of seasonal flowers, but also rooted deep in traditional elements like architecture designs and mythological animals.

According to the designer, the newly-released collections present Oriental mystery, the greatness of nature and the power of life, which not only reveal a Chinese sense of beauty, but also China-meet-West ideas.
