China has started a three-month online promotion for Africa products, Chinese Foreign Minister spokesperson said on Wednesday, one of the measures to implement the "China-Africa Digital Innovation Partnership Program".

Recently, China and Africa have also jointly held a series of activities including promotional events focused on China-Africa Internet Development and Cooperation Forum and a major press conference detailing a report on Chinese companies investing in Africa.

Other activities such as the second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, China-Africa Beidou Cooperation Forum have already been scheduled, Wang said.

Activities focused on investment in technological innovation, committed to meeting African cooperation and development objectives, and promoting economic recovery in Africa, fully demonstrating China's firm confidence and determination to promote the transformation and upgrade of China-Africa cooperation, achieving high-quality development, Wang added.

China has been Africa's largest trading partner country for 12 consecutive years.

The China-Africa trade volume was $139.1 billion from January to July this year, an increase of 40.5 percent, a record high, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) announced last Friday.

In particular, imports from Africa increased by 46.3 percent, reaching $59.3 billion, of which, imports of agricultural products including rubber, cotton, and coffee have doubled over the same period last year, MOFCOM said.
