The Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), China's top fine arts academy, announced the winners of its children's calligraphy and artworks competition on Saturday as part of its efforts to promote children's art education. 

The CAFA Lucion National Children Calligraphy and Artworks competition received more than 15,000 works from children after admissions kicked off on April 25. About 540 young artists were selected as finalists by a panel of 12 experts. Twelve children received final big awards.
