The sales of the iPhone 13 continue to be hot in China, although some users have concerns over bugs that affect Apple Watch, Apple Music and the camera.

Apple released a statement on Saturday, saying that they have confirmed a bug in backup restores. The restore from a backup of new iPhones and iPads, including the iPhone 13 series and iPad 9th generation, may cause the widgets to reset to its default state, as well as blocking access to the Apple Music catalog and settings.

The statement came after some consumers reported receiving the phone with bugs, including abnormal operation in the Apple Watch and faults in the camera.

In the statement, Apple said that users can update their new phones to solve the problems.

"The new phones always have bugs every time they go on sale, especially in the system," a customer said adding that users have to wait for the Apple staff to fix them.

"I will not buy the new iPhone because I am afraid that my phone becomes the 'chosen one'," a netizen surnamed Zhang posted on Weibo, China's Twitter-like social media platform.

However, the new series continue to run hot. Many netizens on Weibo said that they are still willing to buy the new product.

An iPhone seller in Xianyu, a Chinese secondhand trading platform, said that despite the bugs, the price of the new products are increasing.

On this trading platform, the consumer should spend from 300 to 500 yuan ($46 - $77) more to get an iPhone 13 pro. An iPhone 13 Pro Max costs 1,000 yuan ($154) more.

The Global Times learned that on the first day of sales in Apple stores in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, the price of iPhones increased. Some scalpers, known in China as huangniu, will try to buy the new machine from consumers who get a new phone from the Apple store.

"The price of the iPhone 13 Pro has increased by 1,000 yuan ($154) and the iPhone 13 Pro Max went up 2,000 yuan ($310) in its new color, Sierra Blue," a scalper said.

As of September 24, the first day of the iPhone 13 series on the market, the sales on JD Daojia, an e-commerce platform, increased by 470 percent, compared to the iPhone 12 on the first day sales, exceeding 800 units in one hour, according to data shared by JD Daojia with the Global Times on Saturday.
