Huawei's wrist electrocardio collector received production permission from Guangdong Medical Products Administration according to an approval list of medical equipment released on its official website on Monday.

According to the list, Huawei's wrist electrocardio collector will be produced by Goerteck and JW Technology.

In June 2021, the electrocardio detecting app for Apple Watch was also identified by the National Medical Products Administration as officially registered medical equipment.

Huawei said in May that the company's first smart watch blood pressure detection functionality had passed the test of medical equipment registration. The smart watch will released onto the market within the final few months of 2021 after clinical tests, according to media reports.
