North China’s largest natural gas storage group enters official operation

Natural gas storage Wei 11 in Puyang, Central China's Henan Province entered service on Monday, which means the complete of North China's largest natural gas storage group, Zhongyuan gas storage group with total capacity of over 10 billion cubic meters, Sinopec told the Global Times on Monday.

The newly built Wei 11 natural gas storage has the capacity of 1.009 cubic meters and will meet the daily natural gas usage for 10 million families across the country.

The Zhongyuan gas storage group is located between Henan and East China's Shandong Province. Sinopec also mentioned two more natural gas storages will be finished before the end of 2021 and will add 1.116 billion cubic meters of natural gas capacity to the group, which will provide reliable support to the country's energy consumption in this winter.
