A man in Xiangyang, Central China's Hubei Province, fell asleep at the scene due to exhaustion after stealing steel from a construction site late at night. When he woke up, he was brought to the local police station for investigation due to his unusual behavior.

The police in Xiangyang were on patrol one morning when they saw a man sleeping in a car next to the construction site and then went up to him for questioning. After noticing his unusual appearance, the police asked him to open the trunk, in which they found the stolen site materials. The man was taken back to the police station for further questioning.

The police investigation revealed that the man had been working with four other people to steal high-voltage tower materials several times since September, and made illegal profits of more than 10,000 yuan ($1,563).

All five men suspected of theft were taken by the police. The case is awaiting trial.
