‘The Bright Side’ brings warmth and light to Beijing

Artworks from three artists from China and France are redefining the art of light through paintings, sculptures and installations at Beijing's Today Art Museum. The Bright Side exhibition hosted by Yishu 8 and the museum features works from Peng Yong, Ouyang Sulong and Lyes Hammadouche, all of whom are winners of the Prix Yishu 8. 

According to Christine Cayol, founder of the art center Yishu 8, the exhibition is especially important during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic as everyone needs "the warmth light brings."

Zhang Ran from the Today Art Museum said that she hopes the exhibition will give "visitors a different idea and understanding of light. And we will discuss how light is an important artistic language and medium."

The Bright Side exhibition is set to run until November 21.
