China is willing to further deepen all-round cooperation including trade with Pakistan to enrich the content of the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and bring greater benefits for people from both countries, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

Wang Wenbin, a spokesperson from the ministry, made the remarks during a routine press briefing in Beijing when asked about achievements of Pakistani participants at the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.

Pakistan Ambassador to China Moin Ul Haque said earlier that the CIIE has helped Pakistan to improve its overall trade with China and increase its exports. Pakistan has now participated in the Expo for four consecutive years.

"We are pleased with the achievements of China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation at the CIIE," Wang said.

Since the first CIIE, every year has seen new milestone achieved and an increase in intended turnover, and China has become a vital window for global enterprises to share the huge market opportunities in China, Wang said.

The number of countries and enterprises exhibiting at this year's expo has hit a record high, with more than 80 percent of Fortune 500 and leading industry enterprises returning to the expo, according to data released by the CIIE.

More than 100 supporting on-site events have been held during the 4th CIIE, as dozens of exhibitors launching new products with cutting-edge technologies and innovative services. About half of the products were premieres of China, Asia and the world, with many products are custom-made for the Chinese market.

On Wednesday, the 4th CIIE concluded in Shanghai. At a closing press briefing, Sun Chenghai, the deputy director of the CIIE bureau, revealed that the intended turnover of this year's event totaled $70.72 billion, a slight drop of 2.6 percent compared with the last session.

Well-known enterprises at home and abroad have expressed their optimism about the Chinese market and look forward to expanding cooperation with China in the pursuit of common development, Wang said.
