Six designers and scholars from China and Thailand gathered online for a webinar for creative designs on Friday. The Creative People Talk: China-Thailand Creative Industry Webinar, hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, China's Central Academy of Fines Arts (CAFA) and the Creative Economy Agency of Thailand, covered three sections: jewelry design education, commercial value of designers' brands, and traditional ideas and contemporary design.

According to Apisit Laistrooglai, director of the Creative Economy Agency, the webinar is a good opportunity for designers from the two countries to exchange ideas and explore new possibilities.

Lü Pinjing, a professor from CAFA, said that amid the COVID-19 pandemic, design has become an important force to solve social issues and he is expecting new models and theories to be found by designers and scholars from the two sides.

Besides the forum, a new exhibition featuring works by jewelry designers from China and ASEAN countries will kick off in Beijing soon.
