Chang Shiang-Hua, widow of the author of The Ugly Chinaman, announced the book’s publication would be halted. Chang noted that if Bo Yang was alive, he would be angry seeing that young people in the island of Taiwan are being brainwashed by the DPP's desinicization campaign.
