A woman from Wuchuan, South China's Guangdong Province, miraculously survived a tragic car accident although she almost lost half of her head in the collision.

On September 18, the woman, surnamed Li, was out on her electric bike when she collided with a small car. In the accident, a part of her head was cut off, her skull was severely damaged, and she suffered multiple comminuted fractures throughout her body. When she was taken to the hospital she was in a deep coma.

Doctors performed emergency resuscitation and craniotomy on her, which lasted four hours. Li regained consciousness after ten days in a coma.

After more than two months of rehabilitation, Li was able to get out of bed and walk around and communicate normally with words. Doctors said that after the second surgery, Li's partial paralysis of the upper limbs is also expected to return to normal.

Netizens have left their best wishes for Li on China's Twitter-like platform Sina Weibo. "I hope the lady could have a full recovery after what she has been through."
