A: The weather has been really cold. I'm going to go buy a cheap down jacket. 

最近天气太冷了,我准备去买一件便宜的羽绒服。

(zuìjìn tiānqì tài lěnɡ le, wǒ zhǔnbèi qù mǎi yījiàn piànyí de yǔrónɡfú.)

B: I'm planning to buy a down jacket as well, but I am thinking of buying a second-hand one or saving money to buy a good quality one whose price is a bit more expensive.

A: I heard that down jacket are all generally quite expensive.

B: Yep. Have you seen the recent news? In order to cut costs, an international down jacket did a lot of things that people have criticized when it comes to production and collecting feathers. 

是的。你看最近的社会新闻了吗？有一家跨国的羽绒服公司,因为压缩制作成本,在制作和收集羽毛的过程中做了很多为人诟病的事情。

B: Yup. Actually we can try wearing cotton jackets, which are also very warm.
