Wuyi, East China's Zhejiang Province said recently that non-resident employees of private manufacturing enterprises can apply for house purchase vouchers, a move to "solve the labor shortage," as more Chinese cities deploy incentive measures to stimulate housing sales.

A subsidy of 30,000 yuan ($4,707) will be available for the purchase of a first home for non-resident employees, according to the note posted on its official government website.

Wuyi is not alone. Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said the government will reward real estate developers, including issuing 300,000 yuan vouchers based on the ranking of sales area when hitting more than 3,000 square meters from December 1 to December 31, 2021, followed by 200,000 yuan and then 100,000 yuan.

In addition, buyers will also be rewarded with vouchers as well.

Since November, at least 10 cities have introduced policies aimed at encouraging home buying, including Jingmen in Central China's Hubei, Wanzhou in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, and Baoding in North China's Hebei Province.

Market watchers said the variety of measures used include housing purchase subsidies, vouchers, subsidies for skilled workers and low-interest loans.

China continued to see its housing market ease in November under strengthened market regulations, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Overall housing prices in China in November remained stable but the growth has been slowing down with home prices continuously falling, while domestic development investment in the property sector from January to November grew by 6 percent, NBS data showed.
