A new exhibition featuring the latest sculptures by artist Wang Dapeng kicked off at the 798 International Art Exchange Center in Beijing on Saturday. Curated by A Fu, the Auspicious Objects - Wang Dapeng Sculpture Exhibition offers visitors a chance to explore the past six years of the artist's creative endeavors.

"Wang has solid basic skills. In recent years, his creations have turned to traditional Chinese themes. His works conform not only to traditional aesthetics, but also the aesthetics of contemporary people. I believe that he has great potential to make broader themes and deeper traditional Chinese art language," commented Zhang Wei, a professor from the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

The exhibition is set to run until January 27.
