Can you imagine being sent to a quarantine facility by your own mom during an epidemic? Well, this is what happened to a college student from Central China's Henan Province recently. According to the young man surnamed Zhang, he returned home for vacation and read the news about a new COVID-19 case found in a county close to his college. Zhang then told his mother who later decided to call local health workers to send him to a quarantine facility. This anecdote quickly went viral on the internet. Many Chinese netizens have praised Zhang's mother for her good sense of social responsibility. China has successfully reined in its epidemic, thanks to all the frontline healthcare workers and the ordinary people who have been strictly following the country's relevant policies. Many people have volunteered to be isolated at quarantine facilities after learning that they might be a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case.
