The sale of pickled cabbage flavored instant noodle from food company Master Kong resumed in supermarket in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan Province following a quality report placing next to the shelves issued by local market regulator, media reported on Tuesday.

The staff of the supermarket said in the report that the sale of the instant noodle has resumed since the end of March. "We have concluded that the instant noodle factories in Kunming region didn't use pickled cabbage from exposed supplier," said the staff.

But the sale volume of the instant noodle product remains low, with consumers still cautious of the links to food safety issues, staff noted.

The 3.15 Gala, an annual show produced by China Central Television on March 15 focusing on the protection of consumers' rights, revealed the lack of hygiene in the processing of pickled cabbage, at the Hunan Chaqi Vegetable Co Ltd. As one of the company's partners, Master Kong removed all pickled cabbage flavored instant noodle from nationwide distribution channels after television exposure.
