NAMOC presents ‘From Sight to Insight’ exhibition

Beijing's National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) is showcasing a number of artworks from the renowned artist Yang Mingyi in the solo exhibition "From Sight to Insight." 

Including his own water ink paintings to paintings that he collected, the exhibition covers three sections: Artistic Creations, Friendship and Artistic Life. 

Born in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province, the artist has created a great many pieces portraying his hometown, China's most well-known water town. 

Additionally, the exhibition also offers visitors a chance to learn about the artist's career and life through documents such as photographs and personal letters.

According to Wu Weishan, president of NAMOC, Yang has been working to represent the scenery of his hometown Suzhou with new approaches as well as new expressive means. The exhibition is set to run until April 27.
