Guangzhou Baiyun Intl Airport cancelled 90% flights on Thursday morning following abnormal nucleic test result, according to flight information provider VariFlight and the airport statement.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in South Chinas Guangdong Province, on Wednesday night detected an abnormal result for nucleic acid test, airport authorities announced on Thursday morning.

The announcement stated that the airport has taken emergency measures and adjusted a host of domestic flights according to quarantine policies. Many domestic flights from the airport will be arranged to depart after 12 pm on Thursday. The airport also told the public to follow for latest information.

According to flight information provider VariFlight, the number of inbound and outbound flights scheduled for Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport was about 100 on April 28, and that around 90 percent flights have been canceled as of 8:30 am.
