Holly's international Hong Kong 2022 spring auction is scheduled to be launched on May 28 at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Hong Kong.

The spring auction seeks to boost the Asian art market under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will offer assorted artworks for sale under four categories: Modern and Contemporary Art, Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, Chinese Ceramics & Works of Art and Luxury Food & Wine.

The Modern and Contemporary Art section includes museum-level blockbusters such as works of impressionism master Auguste Renoir and Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, the leading figure of the Barbizon school who has been dubbed as one of the most successful lyrical landscape painters of the 19th century. The section also focuses on Asian artists' works, especially revealing works created by prominent artists of the post-1970s.

The Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy section will put under the hammer 50 ancient and modern calligraphy works. Works from big names such as Zhang Daqian, Qi Baishi and Lin Fengmian will also go on auction.

Thirty treasures, including Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) court ceramics, will be shown in the Chinese Ceramics & Works of Art section. The Luxury Food & Wine auction will provide 31 items that come from the Asian Collection.

The spring auction is scheduled to end on May 29.
