Environment mon amour: Exhibition of Suzanne Husky and Tong Yixin
, an art exhibition co-organized by the Embassy of France in China and the well-established Today Art Museum is now displaying in Beijing.

The exhibition is displaying 28 artworks created by French artist Suzanne Husky and Chinese artist Tong Yixin.

The two creators share the same vision that it is vital to reflect the concepts of ecological and environmental protection through diverse artistic works.

Chinese artist Tong Yixin uses various mediums such as video art, painting, lighting, installation and poetry to explain his "metaphysical goodwill" toward nature. This "metaphysical goodwill" theme can be understood as kindness that is not motivated by purpose or value, but implanted in one's recognition and belief in humanity's exploration of the universe.

The highlight work from artist/poet Tong is a poem selected from his latest project Environmental Love Handbook that is presented in the form of paper prints, wooden sculptures and wall screen prints.

Husky's works cover a wide range of mediums including photography, video art, painting and tapestries. Husky's film On the Proliferation of Mermaids in Times of Shipwreck takes an anthropological perspective to analyze the mermaid myth in a contemporary art and social context.

The international exhibition is a part of a 17-year-long project dedicated to promoting cross-cultural exchanges.

The exhibition is schedule to end on July 3.
