In My Room
, a mini art show dedicated to emerging Japanese artist/ designer Suspense Girl kicked off on Saturday in Beijing.

Displaying a total of 23 paintings and three-dimensional works for the artist, the exhibition at the BB Art space in the Xicheng district's The New cCommercial Ccenter shows an imaginative and whimsical world that reveals the creativity of a new generation of Japanese female artists.

The exhibition is divided into three parts - Crazy Kiriko, Mofuret-dimreensur, and TIME - that show the artist's three different inner worlds and the subtle emotional values presented in her art.

The artist noted that she always wanted to present the bipolar ideas of "the distance between reality and the imagined" as well as "excitement and silence" in a single painting.

The "room" concept behind the exhibition's title does not refer to the actual exhibition space, but the space in the artist's mind that hosts her creative thinking.

The artist from Japan also noted that she hopes the exhibition in Beijing can give visitors, especially women, the opportunity to step away from the agony and confusion of everyday life and reflect on the "true self" that gives them strength.

She hoped that her works can encourage women to be beautiful yet maintain a confident and comprehensively?powerful inner world.

The exhibition is scheduled to come to an end on July 10.
