China's space-themed tourism market is burgeoning following notable achievements in the space exploration program in recent years. According to a report published by Chinese tourism platform Qyer.com on Tuesday, 94.4 percent of surveyed tourists expressed interest in space-themed tourism products.

The report stated that China's successful space exploration program in recent years, including the Shenzhou-13 and -14, China's first Mars rover Zhurong and sun-probing satellite Xihe, sparked people's passion on aerospace.

Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in South China's Hainan Province, the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China's Gansu Province, the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Southwest China's Sichuan Province and the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in North China's Shanxi Province are four most popular tourist sites for aerospace fans, according to the report.

Aerospace related museums, including China Science and Technology Museum, Beijing Planetarium and China Space Museum, are also popular among tourists. The simulated Mars Base One in Northwest China's Gansu Province have gone viral on Chinese social media with netizens seeking out unique travel experience, said the report.

The report noted that both the sector and consumers are excited about the development of domestic aerospace-themed tourism products, adding that infrastructure for tourists should be further enhanced.
