The Sound of Walking - Music event


The music event in Shanghai is a concert of traditional Chinese  songs and music by Chinese musician Gong Linna. 

Over the years, the Chinese singer has collected numerous samples of folk music during her field trips with her husband Robert Zollitsch.  

Gong's husband, also known as Lao Luo, added the samples into his compositions and created fresh tracks performed by Gong and the Gong Luo New Art Troupe. 

During the concert, audiences from all over the country will be able to appreciate local folk music together and experience the power of music and earth.

Born in 1975, Gong is dedicated to exploring and teaching  traditional folk singing. 

She has done research on Chinese operas and various folk music, integrating their elements with her music compositions. 

According to the artist, the vitality of folk songs lies in their authenticity and simplicity.

Gaze into Infinity - Art exhibition

This show in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, is a joint exhibition for photographers Han Lei and Feng Hai. 

Born in 1967 in Kaifeng, Henan, Han graduated from the Central Academy of Art and Design. He has held multiple solo exhibitions at home and abroad. For this exhibition, Han brings his latest easel paintings and video works.   

Feng was born in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, in 1971. With a master degree in visual design, his artwork is a ­combination of international design and Chinese elements. He has won several international prizes in fashion photography. 

Having both obtained their fame in the 1990s, the duo are now pursuing different areas of photography. Han pays close attention to ordinary scenes that are always neglected in daily life, while Feng works as a commercial photographer who is a leading figure in fashion photography. 

At the exhibition, visitors can appreciate their two different takes on photography.

Re-Exposure: The One - Art exhibition

This exhibition in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is the first ­exhibition by the HLiiC, Re-exposure Project which is dedicated to "re-exposure" of images in the contemporary era and explorations of different possibilities in photography. "The One" in the title signifies that there is only one existing copy of each work and there won't be any reprints in the future.  

The exhibition displays more than 60 Polaroid photographs by eight international photographers as well as photographs from six international artists who used various photographic processes such as daguerreotype and Autochrome Lumière. The photographs include rare original works from 180 years ago and nouveau exploration by modern artists.
