Table for Six, the latest film from producer William Kong, held an advanced screening at the Beijing International Film Festival on Friday. The film is set to hit cinemas in the mainland on September 9.

The Hong Kong film starring Dayo Wong, Stephy Tang, Louis Cheung and Ivana Wong earned high praise from audiences at the prescreening with its humorous dialogue and tight plot. The story follows three brothers who meet up at a family reunion only to find that the eldest brother's ex-girlfriend is now the middle brother's current girlfriend.

Kong, also the coproducer behind the kung fu classic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, said during an online Q&A section that he was "extremely excited" when he first read the script for the new film.
