MEOW Meow Forever - Art exhibition

This exhibition in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province is a solo show for artist Gan Nianrong. It presents five pieces capturing the moments when the artist was interacting with her cat Huang Ermao.

Born in 1976 in Yibin, Sichuan Province, Gan graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1998 and currently works in Shenzhen.

When she left home to make a living in the big city, she found herself surrounded by solitude. Fortunately, she met a stray cat, which she later named Huang Ermao.

Gan is good at abstract oil painting. Her works often extract abstract concepts from individual life experiences, taking viewers through time and space to another dimension where there are flowers and cats, two of her most important creative elements.

There are also interactive sections at the exhibition. Viewers can enjoy themselves by painting pictures of cats or reading "rainbow Tarot cards."
