Shitouwa (original name: Wang Xiaoxin)  is -first-level national artist with the PhD of fine art. He is also a famous scholar, cultural relics connoisseur and the modern landscape painter.

The language of Shitouwa's works originate from the pure Chinese tradition, but belongs to the world language, towards the future and the world, representing the new form of Chinese painting in the future. His creative works lie between the East and the West, allowing the contemporary world to see the many faces of ink and wash that originated in China and can be viewed and accepted, allowing the Chinese painting to witness its inclusiveness, and contributing to the acquisition of new visual and perceptual expressions for humanity.
