A: Big Brother, Mom's birthday is next week and I want to get her a gift, do you have any suggestions? 

哥哥,下周妈妈要过生日了,我想送她一个礼物,你有什么建议吗？

B: I haven't come up with anything yet. But Mom seems to love food, how about we take her to a restaurant to eat?

A: Treating her to a meal is not a bad idea, but rather than going to a restaurant, I suddenly just realized we could hire a private chef to come to our home to prepare a meal. 

请她吃饭这个主意不错,但比起去餐厅,我突然想到我们可以请一个私人厨师到家里来做饭。

B: Hiring a private chef is pretty expensive, right?

A: If we prepare the ingredients ahead of time, the expense of hiring a private chef and going to a restaurant is actually about the same. It is more hygienic to hire a private chef and it keeps you from wasting food.  

在备好菜的前提下,请私人厨师和去餐厅消费其实不相上下。此外,雇佣私人厨师更加卫生,还能杜绝食物浪费。

B: In that case, maybe we can give it a try.

A: Yes we should. Also, you know hiring a private chef has become a fashionable trend.
