'Eternal Melody' - symphony concert of classic Chinese music piecesEternal Melody is a symphony concert in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, which aims to bring China's most classic music pieces such as the "Yellow River" and the "Butterfly Lovers" to audiences.
The performance of the "Butterfly Lovers" will be led by violin. Facilitated by the instrument's melodious sound, the piece depicts a touching Chinese folk love story that is also an intangible cultural heritage.
Different from the euphemistic presentation of the "Butterfly Lovers," the "Yellow River" has been composed as a piano concerto.
This composition uses piano as the main instrument to depict the roaring Yellow River, one of the "mother rivers" of the Chinese nation.
Highlighted classical musicians at the event include pianist Feng Zixiang, who has international performing experiences in countries such as Greece, Ukraine and the US.
Veteran violinist Li Kaixiang will also perform at the event. Li has rich international musical experience such as collaborating with respected Australian composer Eve Duncan.
