Georgia: Celebrating Independence Day in Beijing

The Georgian Independence Day reception was held in Beijing on June 9. The event was aimed at celebrating Georgia's National Independence Day and showcased Georgia's cultural and economic opportunities to the Chinese people.

The event started with a face-to-face meeting between Georgian Ambassador to China Archil Kalandia and Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui. Kalandia emphasized the development path of Georgia after the restoration of its independence and highlighted Georgia's aspirations for Europe and the growing dynamism of bilateral trade and economic cooperation with China. Li expressed the importance of deepening the friendly partnership with Georgia.

At the reception, the "Angel Children's Choir" gave a wonderful performance for this special day, including songs in Georgian.

Representatives of Chinese government agencies, business, cultural and academic circles, as well as representatives of the diplomatic missions in Beijing and the Georgian diaspora were also invited to attend the event.
