After a four-year hiatus, the Spanish B Vocal group kicked off their tour of China at the National Centre for the Performing Arts of China in Beijing on August 17.

As one of the first vocal groups to return to China to perform, it had conducted 11 tours in China during the past decade before the epidemic. This time, they are expected to perform in six cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Zhuhai. The tour is expected to end on August 26.

The group will present two distinctive musical themes, Classicappella, which covers works from various periods in the history of classical music development, and Cappella Contigo, the musical works of the 20th and 21st Century Pop, Rock, Jazz and Latin Music. Additionally, several Chinese songs have specially been added to their performance lineup during the tour.

Established in 1995, B Vocal is a Spanish singing group made up of five Latin band members - Augusto Gonzalez Emperador, Carlos Marco Bescos, Fermin Polo Lopez, Juan Luis Garcia Salvador and Carlos Valledor Gavin - who perform a cappella, humorously performing vocal imitations of musical instruments.

The members of B Vocal have devoted themselves to promoting family- and child-friendly concerts since 1998. In the field of music education, B Vocal's educational productions, workshops, and vocal master classes have attracted large audiences and educational institutions, supplementing regular school curricula. Their teaching programs have allowed more than 1 million students to learn about the mysteries of sound, stage performance and the significant role played by the vocal arts in the global context, through historical, cultural and societal dimensions.

So far, B Vocal has performed more than 3,500 concerts, had more than 40 successful international tours, released seven albums and three DVDs, and won 10 awards in New York, San Francisco, Austria, Russia and Italy.

The group has performed in the US, the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, the island of Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, Slovakia, Germany and Russia, among other countries , and performed more than 40 tours across Asia, making them the highest-touring Spanish music group in Asia.
