Apple showed off its next-generation iPhone 15 lineup and other devices and software updates during the Apple event held at its headquarters in Cupertino, California on Wednesday. Soon after the release, Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com announced an “hourly delivery” service for the new iPhone, and cellphone accessory sellers put their goods on sale overnight.

Featuring a USB-C charging port and upgraded cameras, the new iPhone has attracted consumers’ attention.

In order to help consumers get the phone as early as possible, JD.com has worked with Apple to provide buyers with its special delivery service, which guarantees them a delivery time of within one hour.

The service covers 1,700 counties and municipalities nationwide, including small towns in Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan and mountainous areas in Sichuan.

Small businesses that produce cellphone accessories have also acted quickly. Shortly after Apple announced that it would be using the new USB-C cable port, a search for iPhone USB-C cables on the e-commerce platform Alibaba in the early hours of Wednesday morning yielded over 20,000 results.

As well as USB-C cables, cell phone cases and other accessories are also proving popular. Zhang Qianping, a manager of Guangzhou Saiboro Electronic Technology Co, told cnstock.com the company had received a lot of orders for its iPhone cases. “One of the largest orders we have received so far was for 30,000 cases,” Zhang said.

According to ReportLinker, the global market for mobile phone accessories in 2022 was estimated at $93.6 Billion, and the market is expected to reach $162.8 Billion by 2030. Chinese companies are trying to dominate the phone accessories manufacturing market, offering high-quality products and timely delivery.

According to data from China’s State Post Bureau, in the first seven months of 2023, the postal industry completed a total of 87.37 billion deliveries, an increase of 12.8 percent year-on-year. China’s cheap, fast and secure logistics services have fueled the booming industry for phone accessories and ensured that consumers are able to get their products as quickly as possible.
