Five outstanding music performances are debuting during the 2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Concert Season "GBA Dream, the Chinese Dream," the organizer said, noting that the event aims to foster the cultural prosperity of the GBA.

The 33-day long concert season that started in mid-November and runs to December 13 unfolds in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, and features a diverse range of music and art performances, including symphonies, chamber music, and traditional instrumental music. Highlight events include the two-year anniversary concert of the School of Music, Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) (Shenzhen), celebrating the 60th anniversary of CUHK, and the 10th-anniversary of CUHK (Shenzhen). On December 13, the Longgang Cultural Center Music Hall is set to host a chamber music concert by the Guangdong National Orchestra.

All performers participating in this music season hail from the GBA, with star artists enhancing the lineup.

Ye Xiaogang, artistic director of the event and the founding dean of the music school, emphasized that this season is dedicated to exploring and promoting the development of traditional and creatively innovative ethnic music.

"We have the confidence and ability to build the GBA Concert Season into a cultural brand for this vibrant region."
