Thailand: The National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand celebrated in Shanghai

The Royal Thai Consulate General in Shanghai hosted a reception to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and Thai Father's Day in Shanghai on December 1. 

Consul General of Thailand in Shanghai Prinat Apirat presided over the event attended by around 300 guests, including Shanghai Vice Mayor Chen Jie and officials from Thailand's representative offices in Shanghai. 

The Consul General Apirat, in her address, highlighted the significance of December 5, paying tribute to the late King for his contributions to Thailand's development and the well-being of its people. She emphasized the importance of comprehensive cooperation between Thailand and China as well as the cooperation between Thailand and the Yangtze River Delta region in various fields. 

Apirat also underscored the positive role played by the consulate in fostering closer and friendlier relations between the two countries. She expressed Thailand's readiness to welcome foreign friends, stressing a commitment to their safety and health.

The reception featured a variety of activities, including the appreciation of songs composed by the late King, and traditional Thai art performances such as blessing dances, and folk dances from Thailand.

Additionally, an exhibition titled "Thai Corner" was jointly presented by the Consulate General, official Thai agencies in Shanghai, and Thai investment enterprises, aiming to introduce Thai businesses and high-quality products to the attendees.
