Japanese Ambassador to China Kanasugi Kenji attended the Exhibition of Works of 90-Year-Old Artists at the Li Keran Academy in Beijing on January 12.

The ambassador discussed the promotion of Chinese-Japanese art exchange, and other related topics with dean Li Geng during the visit.

The Li Keran Academy was inaugurated in Beijing in 2012. The painting academy facilitates the creation and research of Chinese paintings. It is also used to study Li Keran's artistic thoughts, inherit the art of Chinese paintings, and, at the same time, carry out academic activities and other activities.

Li was a master of Chinese landscape painting in the 20th century. His artistic spirit and academic achievements will play an important role in promoting the innovation and development of contemporary Chinese art.
