German Ambassador to China Patricia Flor attended the China (Ningxia)-Germany Week for Friendship and Cooperation in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Wednesday, as the local government extends cooperation with Germany in multiple sectors.

Celebrating 52 years of diplomatic relations and a decade of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership, China and Germany have engaged in extensive and profound friendly cooperation, setting an example of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

During the event in Yinchuan, a total of 19 cooperation projects were signed, amounting to 157 million yuan ($21.8 million). These projects span various sectors, including investment, trade, education, and culture.

Flor reiterated Germany's commitment to the development of China-Germany relations and intergovernmental exchanges.

She emphasized the shared values and vast cooperation space between the two sides in green transformation, climate change mitigation, and environmental protection.

Flor said that Germany looks forward to continuing this exchange and is willing to engage in practical cooperation with Ningxia in fields such as mechanical manufacturing, specialty agriculture, the wine industry, arts, and education and training, deepening people-to-people exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding, and jointly advancing bilateral relations.

Lei Dongsheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Party Committee, expressed Ningxia's commitment to utilizing the Cooperation Week as an opportunity to focus on mutual openness, facilitate exchanges, strengthen friendly ties, promote practical cooperation and create benchmark projects, contributing to the high-level development of China-Germany relations.
