The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing hosted an Eid Mela event on Wednesday to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani families, students, and officials at the embassy, along with invited Chinese guests.

The Eid Mela event was organized by the Pakistan Embassy, and encapsulated the spirit of joy, solidarity, and community, which also provided a platform for the attendees to come together and celebrate an authentically Pakistani Eid.

On the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to China Khalil Hashmi extended Eid greetings to members of the Pakistani community in China.

The event was filled with elements of Pakistani culture. Guests indulged in traditional Pakistani cuisine, desserts, and a variety of activities for children.

Henna painting, also known as mehndi, showcasing intricate designs applied onto the skin using henna paste, which is commonly done during weddings and festivals in Pakistan, drew considerable attention at the event.

The Global Times observed both children and adults lining up to adorn their hands with colorful designs at the event.

Despite the light rain, the spirit of the gala remained high as Pakistani attendees enthusiastically danced to the music, adding to the lively atmosphere of the occasion.
