The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in China held a promotional event showcasing the tourism potential of Uzbekistan on April 18.

The event brought together nearly 120 tourism companies, 100 individuals from the cultural, tourism, and artistic sectors, as well as over 20 media outlets and popular bloggers.

The event highlighted various tourism destinations in Uzbekistan, including Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. Uzbekistan boasts distinct seasons, each with its unique characteristics. Among them, Samarkand was declared the World Cultural Tourism Capital by the United Nations in 2023.

Attendees were introduced to Uzbekistan's cuisine, folk and applied arts, traditions and customs, as well as its natural beauty. Uzbekistan features several tourist villages and renowned tourist streets, with one of them being selected as one of the best tourist villages by the United Nations World Tourism Organization in 2023.
