On November 16, Zhengzhou Electric Power College joined hands with Yellow River Co., Ltd (OBD), Nepal, to co-apply for the "Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills (CCLPS)" project. The signing ceremony, held at the 2024 World Chinese Language Conference, was officiated by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of China's Ministry of Education. This landmark moment not only marked a solid step forward in Zhengzhou Electric Power College (ZEPC)'s journey toward the "going-global" of vocational education but also signaled the expanding presence of the "Chinese + Vocational Skills" educational model on the global stage.

The CCLPS, an innovative teaching platform launched by CLEC in 2021, has become a flagship initiative for integrating Chinese language education with vocational training. To date, it has successfully established 28 centers across 21 countries, offering a wealth of opportunities for global learners to acquire professional skills while engaging in cultural exchange. The Nepal-based center, to be hosted by ZEPC and YRC Co., Ltd (OBD), Nepal, represents the first such initiative in Henan Province and a pioneering effort within the power industry's vocational education sector.

In recent years, with strong support from the State Grid Henan Electric Power Company, ZEPC has been actively advancing its international exchange and cooperation endeavors. In line with the national mandates outlined in the Implementation Plan for the Reform of the National Polytechnic Education and the Education Action Plan for the Belt and Road Initiative, the college has embraced its mission of building "leading vocational education with a focus on power industry expertise." Centered on cultivating local talent with a deep understanding of Chinese culture and the critical skills required by Chinese enterprises abroad, the college has developed a comprehensive integrated mechanism of "research, development, teaching, training, and competition." This holistic mechanism has not only elevated ZEPC's educational standards but also contributed significantly to the fields of international Chinese language education and vocational training. By delivering a steady stream of outstanding talent, the college has achieved remarkable progress, further solidifying its role as a key player in fostering global collaboration through education.
