International students from East China Normal University participated in a celebration party for the upcoming Spring Festival, where they experienced various Chinese traditional activities, such as solving lantern riddles, writing the Chinese character for "blessing," walking on stilts and paper cutting. They immersed themselves in traditional Chinese culture to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Snake. The Spring Festival this year, which falls on January 29, will be the first since the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization included Spring Festival practices of the Chinese people in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2024.
