Peruvian Ambassador to China Marco Balarezo

Good morning. My name is Marco Balarezo, and I am the Ambassador of Peru to China. Today, it is my pleasure to extend a warm greeting to all of you on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Snake.

The Year of the Snake symbolizes wisdom, agility, and transformation - values that are highly significant in strengthening the relationship between China and Peru. Over the past few years, our bilateral relations have reached an optimal state of development, based on mutual respect, cooperation, and trust. We have worked together in a variety of areas, from trade and investment to culture and education, always seeking to strengthen the ties between our two peoples.

In the economic sphere, Peru's exports to China continue to grow, solidifying China as one of our main trading partners. Additionally, cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, technology, education, and people-to-people connections has yielded important results for both countries.

This is a moment to move forward with optimism and confidence, building stronger bridges between China and Peru, driven by the spirit of friendship and collaboration that defines us.
