French Culture Center in Beijing launched the 29th Mois de la francophonie in Beijing on February 26. For 25 years, the Month of Francophonie has been one of the major highlights of the
Institut Français de Chine.
In his opening remarks, President of the French-speaking Ambassadors Group to China Bruno Angelet, and Ambassador of Belgium to China, said that in 2025, the French-speaking representative organization in China plans to carry out a series of activities related to the richness of the French language, Francophone cuisine, and biodiversity themes, to build a diverse cultural bridge and further showcase the unique charm of Francophone countries and regions to the Chinese public.
Chinese singer Laure Shang was invited to be the promotional ambassador of the 2025 edition of the Mois de la Francophonie. "As a musician and having been passionate about the French language for many years, I have a deep relationship with this language. French is not only a means of expression, but also a real window that opens to the world," she said.
The 29th Month of Francophonie will be launched in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu.
