Sinisa Berjan, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, visited Xuzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province from March 2 to 3. The delegation held talks with the city officials, discussing trade, friendly exchange city relations, cultural exchanges and mutual learning for closer cooperation.

During their talks on March 2, Song Lewei, secretary of CPC Xuzhou Municipal Committee, and the ambassador's delegation witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the city of Pizhou and Municipality of Brod to establish the friendly exchange city relationship.

Noting that 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Song said that the past three decades have witnessed the fruitful results in political mutual trust, economic and trade exchanges, and people-to-people cultural exchanges between the two sides. The two countries have always adhered to the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, Song said.

Song said that the cities' twinning agreement has offered an opportunity to further deepen exchanges, strengthen the economic and trade cooperation, and jointly write a new chapter of friendly cooperation.

The ambassador said that Xuzhou, an ancient city, impressed him with its vibrant energy. "We will deepen cooperation and seek common development," he noted.
