In response to a reporter's question regarding US President Donald Trump's claim that China's opposition to new US tariffs had stalled the sale of TikTok's US operations, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on Monday reiterated China's previously stated principled position on issues related to TikTok, calling on the US to provide an open, fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises.

Lin emphasized at a routine press conference on Monday that China would handle relevant matters in accordance with its own laws and regulations.

Lin said the US should provide an open, fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises operating in the US.
