Zucchetti operates in China through a company belonging to the group, Optima, specialized in software solutions for production (ERP + Manufacturing Execution System) in the glassmaking sector. Optima China is based in the city of Tianjin, with five local employees who handle the technical and commercial needs of local clients related to the software, which is developed in Italy. The clients are Chinese companies, around 30 manufacturers of machinery for glassworks, which then distribute to thousands of users worldwide. Concerning Optima's revenue, which was approximately 5 million euros in 2024, twenty-five percent comes from the Chinese subsidiary.
Founded in 1994, Optima operates in the field of information technology applied to the flat glass processing industry and it became part of the Zucchetti Group in 2022.
