The 27th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) is scheduled to be held from May 8 to 11, 2025 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
Themed "Science and Technology for A Better Future", the event attracts around 800 exhibitors and institutions, with a total exhibition area of approximately 50,000 square meters.
During the press conference held on April 22, Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Beijing Sub-council, outlined five key highlights of the event.
Cutting-edge Robotics and AI
The expo will feature groundbreaking technologies, including UBTECH’s humanoid robot Walker S, known for its advanced task planning and intention understanding. The Beijing Super Cloud Computing Center will also showcase its leading High-Performance Computing (HPC) capabilities.
Scientific AchievementsThe event will present major scientific breakthroughs, including the "Qinling Station" in Antarctica, a research base that addresses a critical gap in the Ross Sea. The introduction of the world’s first low-temperature scientific device without liquid helium by the CASQI marks a significant advancement.
Medical Innovations
Innovations in healthcare will also be showcased, such as Longwood Valley Medtech’s orthopedic surgical robot with a self-developed AI model and a wearable artificial larynx from Beijing Xinzhiruisheng Technology, designed to assist patients with dysphonia.
International Trade Promotion
In an effort to facilitate collaboration, the expo will include a series of promotional activities aimed at boosting trade and investment within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Special sessions will connect enterprises with international markets, enabling high-quality Beijing-made products to explore new global opportunities.
AI Empowerment for Consumers
Finally, the expo emphasizes the empowerment of consumers through AI innovations. Attendees will experience technologies that enhance daily life, such as Hangzhou Qiangnao Technology's bio-inspired robotic devices and AI-driven educational tools from iFlytek. These innovations not only enrich consumer experiences but also underscore the seamless integration of technology into daily routines.
Established in 1998, the Expo is China’s first major international technology exhibition and the only technology-themed event organized by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. It has seen participation from over 1,000 foreign delegations from more than 100 countries and regions, with more than 40,000 organizations showcasing their work. The expo has attracted 6 million visitors and achieved over 5,700 outcomes, with contracts and agreements totaling over 1 trillion yuan.
